Photo Album - 2011 Festival Highlights
From March 15 through March 27, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital held 183 film screenings at 60 venues throughout Washington, D.C with 30,000 attendees. The screenings were presented in collaboration with over 100 organizations. The above photo highlights represent just a small sampling of what the 2011 Festival had to offer.

Friday, March 26, Otavio Juliano was awarded the first annual Polly Krakora Award for artistry in film for The Music Tree. A reception was held at the Carnegie Institution for Science before the screening of his film.

On Marth 16th 2010, the opening night for the 18th annual Environmental Film Festival, GasLand screened to a filled auditorium at the Carnegie Institution for Science. Filmmaker Josh Fox was in attendance and held a Q&A after the film.

From March 11 through March 22, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital screened over 140 films at 52 venues throughout Washington, D.C. Photo Album - EFF's Tribute to World Water Day
On Saturday, March 22, 2008, the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital paid tribute to UN's World Water Day with a day-long series of international water films and a panel of various water experts at the Carnegie Institution of Washington. The panel was followed by the Washington D.C. premiere of FLOW: FOR LOVE OF WATER and a closing reception open to the public. EFF Managing Director, Peter O'Brien, and guest film curator, Linda Lilienfeld, welcomed the audience throughout the day and filmmakers Amy Hart and Irena Salina led discussions following their respective films.

Photo Album - Miss Earth Nation's Capital
On Monday, March 10th, 2008, Miss Earth Nation's Capital, along with a couple EFF staff members, distributed Festival programs in the heart of Dupont Circle to help spread word about the 16th annual Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital.

Photo Album - Pre-Festival Screening of WAR DANCE at the Warner Theatre
On Monday, March 3rd, 2008, EFF held its pre-Festival screening of WAR DANCE at the Warner Theatre. The film was screened two times with over 2,500 people attending, including many local school groups. Annie Kaempfer, EFF Executive Director, introduced the film and filmmaker Josie Swantek led a Q&A discussion following the first screening.

Photo Album - National Archives Screening of WAR DANCE Introduced by Flo Stone
On February 24th, 2008, EFF President & Founder, Flo Stone, introduced a special screening of WAR DANCE at the National Archives. The screening was presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in partnership with the Charles Guggenheim Center for Documentary Film and the Foundation for the National Archives. Flo Stone was welcomed by Thomas Nastick, Producer, Public Programs, Center for the National Archives Experience.
