Washington, D.C. Premiere Amir, a young, aspiring artist in Iran, sells newspapers to help support his mother and younger sister. When he discovers an advertisement for a visual arts competition, he is eager to enter; however, to qualify, all entries must be submitted on costly Rooster Trademark paper. Determined to participate, he takes on a second job delivering goods at the local market. With support from a neighbor, Amir is finally able to borrow all the art supplies he needs to enter the contest – except the paper! Even as Amir’s friends, family and community rally around him to support his dream, will he be able to buy the paper and get his entry in on time? In Farsi with English subtitles.
