Washington, D.C. Premiere Until recently, virtually no one has known what a fabulous natural paradise lies beneath the deep waters of the Straits of Gibraltar. Within this relatively tiny underwater kingdom more species of whales are to be found than anywhere else on Earth. But this tiny area has now become one of the busiest waterways in the world, thus endangering marine wildlife. What is happening in Gibraltar is an example of what is happening to sea life worldwide. For over a decade one woman, Katharina Heyer, has led a lone crusade to save the whales, dolphins and sea life of this area and protect them from the greed of international commerce. Using mostly her own savings, she fought a long and treacherous battle with governments on two continents and business interests stretching from Europe to Asia to establish a hospital for marine life in Gibraltar.
