This multi-media project produced by NRDC, StoryCorps, and Bridge the Gulf documents the experiences of those living through America’s worst oil spill catastrophe. The purpose is to let Gulf residents tell their own stories, on their own terms, about lost livelihoods and family traditions, and the long-term damage to the natural resources of the Gulf. It is meant to capture stark testimony about the horrible costs of America’s fossil fuel addiction and to be cathartic for those who tell their stories, as well as for those who listen. Produced by NRDC, StoryCorps and Bridge the Gulf using interviews recorded by StoryCorps.
