The Environmental Film Festival is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the help of many dedicated volunteers, both during the Festival each spring and throughout the year.
Each year, we select a group of 70-80 volunteers to assist at all screenings during the Festival. Volunteers assist staff in handing out printed programs, tracking attendance, and generally assisting our venue partners with individual screening needs. Volunteers must arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the start of each film and must volunteer for a minimum of FIVE programs.
There will be additional special assignments available during the 2015 Festival, such as: photographers, social media correspondents, media assistance and office representatives.
We will accept new volunteer applications in mid-January. Please come back to the website then to complete the application online. Volunteers accepted for the 2015 Festival will be notified in February. You will be required to attend a Volunteer Orientation (1 hour) in early March, before receiving your Festival assignments.
EFF is a year-round endeavor, with volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We host a variety of film screenings and fundraising events, where assistance is always needed. In addition, volunteers can work with EFF staff in a number of key areas, such as: Fundraising, Public relations, and Administration. Volunteers may also be invited to participate in screening films for consideration in the following year’s Festival.
Please revisit the website in mid-January to complete the New Volunteer Application if you’d like to be considered as a year round volunteer. If you have questions or need additional information about volunteering, please e-mail us at email@example.com.
