Taking Root: The Vision of Wangari Maathai, Marlboro Productions

Volunteer

Please note we are no longer in need of volunteers for the 2008 Festival. Thanks so much for your interest and please continue to think of us in the future.

The Environmental Film Festival is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the help of dedicated volunteers. Please e-mail us at info@envirofilmfest.org if you'd like to sign-up.

Evaluate Screenings

At least three EFF staff members and volunteers attend each film screening to hand out printed programs, track attendance, and fill out evaluation forms. These evaluations are a big help to us when planning programs for the following Festival. If you'd like to volunteer for 2008 EFF please email a list of films that you are interested in (with first and second choices) to info@envirofilmfest.org.

Volunteers arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of each film and must volunteer for a minimum of four programs.

Host a gathering

Hosting a gathering is a great way to get people excited about the Festival. Post-film parties with filmmakers and special guests are a wonderful way to continue the discussion of important issues raised during films.

Host a filmmaker

The presence of filmmakers and other speakers greatly adds to the the quality of EFF programming. When our volunteers host filmmakers it allows the Festival to bring more guests.

“EFF opens our eyes to a world we have never encountered—it’s not often that your outlook on life can be changed in the course of a day’s work.” - Stephanie Steele, The Warner Theatre
