Short Impact Films by Environmental Nonprofits
Nature doesnв’t need people. People need nature. Thatв’s the message of Conservation Internationalв’s provocative, celebrity-voiced campaign, вЂњNature Is Speaking.вЂќ The aim is to raise awareness that people need nature in order to survive. Other conservation groups are also employing the power of film to convey pressing environmental messages and move their supporters to action. See examples of environmental impact short films by leading environmental non-profits, including the Nature is Speaking series and other engaging short films highlighting the value of nature to people.
Discussion follows screening with representatives of environmental nonprofits that developed the films, including Meg Goldthwaite, Chief Marketing Officer of Conservation International who oversaw the launch of Nature is Speaking; Lena Redford, starring with her grandfather Robert Redford inВ Nature is Speaking: The Redwood; Ian Morrison, Director, Media & External Affairs, World Wildlife Fund; and Sarah Rasmussen, Senior Online Strategist, Greenpeace USA.
