Navigating the Festival

The Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital is a major collaborative event that takes place at more than 55 partnering venues, including museums, embassies, universities, libraries and theaters across the Washington, D.C. metro area. Screenings are scheduled in all four quadrants of the city and in suburban Maryland and Virginia.

Make Reservations and Purchase Tickets

Since the Festival takes place at a wide variety of partnering venues, please check each event listing for the ticketing/reservation information specific to that venue, found below the description on the individual film or event’s web page. В Many Festival screenings and events are free; some require reservations while others do not. For paid events, ticket prices range from $3 to $25, and can be purchased using the orange “ticket” icon on the film/event page. В No tickets will be mailed and reservation lists are held at the door. All ticket sales are final.

DownloadВ the Festival Program

OurВ Festival printed program serves as a guide to the 23rd annual Festival and contains film descriptions, screening dates, times and locations and details on lectures, panel discussions, receptions and other events that are part of the Festival. В The program is available by download and at Festival venues.

Attend the Festival

Now it’s showtime! Seating for all events is on a first-come, first-served basis; please plan to arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to start time, even if you have purchased tickets in advance. When an event sells out in advance, a stand-by line will be formed for non-ticket holders, who will be admitted five minutes before the program begins if ticket holders have not arrived and seats become available. Please have all members of your party with you when you take your seat. At some venues, theaters will be cleared in between screenings to allow attendees for the next program to be seated.  Even if you have a ticket to the next screening, you will need to exit, line up and re-enter the theater.
